An Electronic System for Managing the Library of the Faculty of Marine Resources at Alasmarya Islamic University

Abstract

The modern world is witnessing a revolution in technology, informatics and technological progress, especially in the field of information and communication technologies, as countries are competing in motivating all their institutions to keep pace with development and among the most important responses of these developments, the concepts and applications of electronic management. Therefore، among the problems facing the library of the Faculty of Marine Resources at Alasmarya Islamic University in Zliten is the difficulty of searching for metaphor cases and metaphor procedures and controlling this process so that it is not possible to meet for more than three books and a copy of a book of a subscriber is not met, which is borrowed another copy of the same book and the long time that it takes, The goal is to transform into a highly efficient software system to facilitate and speed up these procedures. The methodology used is the waterfall approach and the system model using the Unified Modeling Language (UML). This software system used the VB.NET program and stored various data using the SQL Server database management program. As a result of this programming work، there was easy to deal with subscribers from employees, faculty members and students with various procedures and achieve us dealing with Their data of storing and retrieving with accuracy, flexibility and ease, which speeds up the completion of business.
