Guidelines for Participants

Before Submitting Your Research, Ensure the Following Conditions are Met:

First: From a Scientific Perspective

  1. Research Title: Ensure the title reflects the content of the research.

  2. Abstract: Ensure the abstract is correctly written according to scientific abstract-writing rules, and does not exceed 250 words.

  3. Keywords: Ensure the keywords reflect the research and do not exceed five keywords.

  4. Research Objective or Question: Ensure there is a clear research question or objective.

  5. References: Ensure all sources and references mentioned in the reference list are properly used in the research.

  6. Citation: Ensure proper citation in the text according to the research guidelines.

  7. Direct Quotation: Avoid excessive direct quotations unless necessary. Direct quotes of fewer than 40 words should be enclosed in quotation marks. For quotes longer than 40 words, format the quoted text without quotation marks, indented by 1.15 cm from both the left and right margins, with single line spacing.

  8. Plagiarism: Ensure the plagiarism percentage is below 30% and complies with the university's publication standards.

  9. Research Methodology: Clearly state the research methodology with proper reference citations.

  10. Coherence: Ensure the research is logically organized and follows the steps of scientific research.

  11. Recommendations: Do not include a separate section for recommendations; they should be included in the conclusions section.

  12. Citation Style: References should be cited in the text and formatted according to the APA style (6th or 7th edition).

Second: From a Content and General Appearance Perspective

  1. Clarity and Logic: Ensure the research is written clearly, logically, and fluently. The IMRAD method is recommended.

  2. Spelling and Grammar: Avoid spelling and grammatical errors.

  3. Template Compliance: Format the research according to the conference-approved template (available on the conference website).

  4. Title and Abstract: Ensure both the title and abstract are provided in Arabic and English.

  5. Keywords: Ensure keywords are provided in both Arabic and English.

  6. Researcher Names: List all researchers' names in both Arabic and English.

  7. Researcher Details: Include the name of the presenter first, followed by the supervisor’s name, and then the other student participants (if applicable).

  8. Affiliations: Include the affiliation (department, faculty, university, city, country) for each researcher in both Arabic and English.

  9. Corresponding Author: Mark the corresponding author's name with an asterisk (*) and include their email address. Supervisors' emails should be academic emails, whether for students within the university or faculty members and assistants who are affiliated with the university.

  10. Email Address: Ensure the email address mentioned is the one used for submitting the research or any revisions, if required.

  11. References Format: References in the text should follow the APA style, and the references should be arranged alphabetically in the reference list. Separate the Arabic references from the English ones, placing the Arabic references first, followed by the English ones.

  12. Figures/Tables: Ensure that figures or tables are inserted immediately after they are mentioned in the text. Ensure clarity and quality of images or diagrams.

  13. Captioning: Figures/tables should be labeled with captions below the figure/table for figures and above the table for tables.

  14. Equations: If equations are present, ensure they are written using an equation editor and numbered according to their order in the text.

  15. Adherence to Conference Guidelines: Follow all participation requirements outlined in the conference brochure on the official website.

Third: Formatting Guidelines

A) Font Style and Size

  • Arabic and English Text: The font for all text in the research should be Sakkal Majalla, with the following specifications:

    • Research Title in Arabic: 18, bold, centered.

    • Research Title in English: 16, bold, centered.

    • Researcher Names in Arabic: 12, regular, centered.

    • Researcher Names in English: 11, regular, centered.

    • Researcher Affiliation in Arabic: 11, regular, centered.

    • Researcher Affiliation in English: 10, regular, centered.

    • Email for Corresponding Author: 10, regular, centered.

    • Abstract in Arabic: 11, regular, small kashida alignment.

    • Abstract in English: 11, regular, small kashida alignment.

    • Keywords in Arabic: 11, italic, small kashida alignment.

    • Keywords in English: 11, italic, small kashida alignment.

    • Main Section Headings (Introduction, Methodology, Results, Conclusion) in Arabic: 16, bold.

B) Referencing in the Research

  • Follow the APA citation style (6th or 7th edition) for both in-text citations and the reference list, as mentioned above.

  • Use the template provided on the conference website, and copy-paste while merging the formatting to maintain the template style.
