Design of a Website for Bahja Charity Association for Orphan Sponsorship in the City of Zliten

Abstract

This research aims to design a website for the Bahja Charity Association for the sponsorship of orphans in Zliten. This website provides sponsors with comprehensive information about the orphan remotely, allowing them to monitor the orphan they are sponsoring from a distance, with daily, weekly, and monthly updates on everything related to them. This website also aids in generating funds to support a group of orphans registered with this association. In contrast, the supervising team on the site disburses the money to those entitled to it, overseeing the orphan's educational and cultural guidance process. On the other hand, this website helps provide scholarships awarded to outstanding secondary school students to continue their studies at international universities that match their brilliance and ambitions. It encourages the exceptional talents of this group culturally and intellectually through financial support, contributes to their integration into society, and facilitates their lives. This research adopted an analytical and applied methodology, where the methods used for data collection were reviewing previous studies and practical applications. Programming languages used in designing this website include HTML, PHP, CSS, and JavaScript. Databases like MySQL were also used for data storage and management, in addition to Visual Studio Code 2015 for writing the code. This research reached results, the most important of which are the possibility of reaching orphans remotely with ease and providing comprehensive information about the orphan. In addition to providing scholarships for outstanding students and easy access to donation locations in several areas by using GPS technology.
