مدينة زليتن في كتابات زائـــــــــــريها خلال القرن التاسع عشر الميلادي

Abstract

• لقد لقيت مدينة زليتن اهتماما كبيرا من عديد الكتاب في القرن التاسع عشر الميلادي؛ إثر تنامي الاهتمام الدولي بليبيا بشكل خاص وأفريقيا بشكل عام، وظهر الاهتمام جليا وواضحا في مجموعة المدونات والكتابات التي ذبجها من زاروا غرب ليبيا في فترات متفرقة من ذلك القرن، وكان لمدينة زليتن مكانتها البارزة في تلك الكتابات وفق ثقافات وظروف تأليفها والغايات التي جاء أصحابها من أجلها إلى ليبيا عربا كانوا أو أجانب، زوارا أو مكتشفين أو رحالة أو أطباء أو رجال مخابرات ونحوهم.  وقع اختياري على هذه الفترة الزمنية (القرن التاسع عشر الميلادي) لما لها من أهمية في تاريخ ليبيا الحديث وزليتن على وجه الخصوص، فالعقود الثلاثة الأولى من القرن كانت الهيمنة فيها للقرمانليين حيث وصلت دولتهم إلى أوج ازدهارها وكانت مدينة زليتن لؤلؤة تتزين بها سماء المنطقة الوسطى في غرب البلاد، وشهدت الانهيار الكبير للحكم القرمانلي وعودة الحكم العثماني المباشر للبلاد الليبية، حيث دخلت زليتن في مرحلة جديدة على مستوى الإدارة والاقتصاد والثقافة ونحوها، ومن ثم انعكس هذا على كتابات زائريها؛ فخصوها بالكثير من الاهتمام.
• تسعى الدراسة لمعرفة طبيعة تلك الكتابات ومعرفة مؤلفيها وأصحابها ومعرفة الصورة التي رسمت لزليتن على صدر صفحات تلك الكتابات. وتسعى الباحثة من وراء هذا الدراسة للإجابة عن مجموعة من التساؤلات منها: ما طبيعة كتابات زائري زليتن خلال القرن التاسع عشر الميلادي؟ وما أهميتها التاريخية والعلمية؟، وما الصورة التي رسمت لزليتن في تلك الكتابات وأهميتها عند دراسة تاريخ المدينة الحديث؟.
• ولما كانت الدراسة وصفية تحليلية مرتكزة على معرفة صورة مدينة زليتن في كتابات زائريها في القرن التاسع عشر الميلادي فإنها اتبعت المنهج التاريخي الوصفي، معتمدة على المادة العلمية التي أوردتها تلك الكتابات بالدرجة الأولى مع عدم إغفال مصادر تاريخ ليبيا الحديث الأخرى كلما كان ذلك ضروريا.
  
  

  The city of Zliten received great attention from many writers in the nineteenth century AD due to the growing international interest in Libya in particular and Africa in general. The interest was evident in the group of blogs and writings of those who visited western Libya in separate periods of that century. The city of Zliten had a prominent place in those writings according to the cultures and circumstances of their authorship and the goals for which their writers came to Libya, whether they were Arabs or foreigners, visitors, explorers, travellers, doctors, intelligence men, and so on. I chose this period of time (the nineteenth century AD) because of its importance in the modern history of Libya and Zliten in particular. The first three decades of the century witnessed the dominance of the Qaramanlites, as their state reached the height of its prosperity, and the city of Zliten was as a pearl adorning the sky of the central region in the west of the country. It then witnessed the great collapse of the Qaramanli rule and the return of direct Ottoman rule to the Libyan country, where Zliten entered a new stage at the level of administration, economy, culture etc. which was reflected in the writings of its visitors when they granted it a lot of attention. The study seeks to uncover the nature of these writings, their authors and owners, and to know the picture that was painted for Zliten on the front pages of those writings. The study attempts to answer a set of questions: What was the nature of the writings of Zliten visitors during the nineteenth century AD? What is its historical and scientific importance? And what is the picture that was drawn for Zliten in those writings and their importance when studying the city's modern history. Since the study was descriptive and analytical based on knowing the image of the city of Zliten in the writings of its visitors in the nineteenth century AD, it followed the descriptive historical method, relying on the scientific material mentioned in those writings in the first place, while not neglecting other sources of modern Libyan history whenever necessary.
