The Impact of Electronic Systems in Improving the Management and Follow-Up Graduation Projects Through the Internet: An Applied Study for Information Technology Faculty

Abstract

Electronic systems based on Internet applications have assisted in providing several tools that facilitated the educational process and made it more suitable with the developments of the age. Therefore, this study aimed to exploit this technical development and use it to develop educational management processes. According to the current needs and problems based on the management of graduation projects, the basic stages of the system were analyzed for development and designing an electronic system for following-up graduation projects for students of the Faculty of Information Technology. Based on the positive results of tests conducted on the proposed electronic system, it encourages applying the proposed system for educational uses, as it was implemented according to its main required functions. This system provides the possibility of intelligent information retrieval and paperless storage. Thus, greatly reducing the cost, and improving work efficiency and the level of real-time monitoring, without losing the time and effort of students, administration, and supervisors. Moreover, the system contains all the necessary information to manage and follow up on projects and provides various services and features that will be necessary for students who will be graduating and help them to access proposed and completed projects to take benefits from them. In addition, the results of this study confirm the ability of electronic systems to facilitate the follow-up and management of graduation projects. Thus, these electronic systems positively impact the quality and development of the educational process in general, including the Faculty of Information Technology. This contributes to complementing what the College of Information Technology is doing in terms of transforming and modernizing many processes, creating a more developed environment in keeping with the university's goals, being abreast of development, and using technology in the service of education and making it more efficient and effective.
