About the Conference Proceedings Series

Engineering is a dynamic and rapidly evolving field; therefore, professionals in both academic and industrial sectors must stay abreast of the latest developments. Scientific conferences play a vital role in equipping engineers across various disciplines with up-to-date knowledge, cutting-edge research, and innovative skills.

Conferences also provide a valuable platform for engineers to connect with their peers at both national and international levels. Among the key scientific events held in Libya is the Conference on Engineering and Scientific Technologies, which is organized annually to bring together experts, researchers, and academics in engineering-related fields. It serves as a forum for the exchange of ideas and pioneering experiences across different specialties.

The first edition of this conference (CEST-2018) was launched in 2018 by the Faculty of Engineering, Gharabulli, University of Elmergib. The second edition (CEST-2019) was held in 2019 under the organization and supervision of the Faculty of Engineering, Sabratha University. In 2020, the third edition (CEST-2020) was hosted and organized by the Faculty of Engineering, Al-Khums, also affiliated with the University of Elmergib.

In an effort to maintain the continuity and growth of this conference, the fourth edition (CEST-2021) will be organized and supervised by the Faculty of Engineering at Alasmarya Islamic University in the city of Zliten. The conference will bring together numerous academics, engineers, technicians, and all those engaged in engineering disciplines from December 14 to 16, 2021, under the theme: Innovation – Creativity – Development.

In light of the current global situation and the ongoing challenge of COVID-19, the conference program will include both in-person and virtual presentations. Online participation will be facilitated through the Microsoft Teams platform. Accordingly, we encourage all experts, researchers, and academics in the field of engineering to seize this opportunity to visit the city of knowledge, Zliten, and to take part in this scientific event by attending, presenting, and publishing their research.
