Record of Breeding sea birds Sterna albifrons and Sterna hirundo in the Western Libyan coast

Study of endangers species of sea birds is a part of biodiversity to determined the area of Farwa Lagoon as marine protected area in the Western Libyan region. In 2013 recorded nesting site of sea birds for Sterna hirundo (Common tern) and Sterna albiforns ( little tern) in Western area of Farwa Lagoon Between Libyan and Tunisian Border. Four monitoring visited in 8 June to 8 July 2013. The First recorded of breeding of Sterna species in 1998,the small Island called Ras Etalga and ELgotia. where recorded 105 Eggs in 85 nest for Sterna hirundo and Sterna albiforns in the Western Elgotaia island, and 11 nest in small island its called Elgoutaia Eastern with 17 Eggs for Sterna albiforns species .We recommended for more Management and protect used to increase the breeding numbers and reproductive success of the species in the Farwa marine protected area in Future .
