تناولت هذه الدراسة التأثير السمي لخلات الرصاص على الهرمونات التناسلية وبعض المعايير الفسيولوجية, كما تناولت الدور الوقائي لعسل السدر ضد التأثير الناجم عن التلوث بالرصاص في ذكور جرذان الالبينو  Wister rats.

  تم استخدام 35 جرذًا مقسمة إلى 5 مجاميع /7 جرذان للمجموعة, G1 المجموعة الضــابطة, G2 المعاملة بخلات الرصاص 30 ملجم/ كجم, G3 المعــاملة بخلات الرصـــاص 30 ملجم/ كجم +8 ملجم عسل السدر/ لترماء, G4 المعاملة بخلات الرصـاص 60 ملجم/ كجم, G5 المعاملة بخلات الرصــاص 60 ملجم/ كجم +8 ملجم عسل السدر/ لترماء, تم التجريع عن طريق الفم لمدة 8 أسابيع. بعدها تم تجميع عينات الدم.

أظهرت نتائج الدراسة الحالية حدوث انخفاض معنوي في مستوى الهرمونات التناسلية الذكريـــة (FSH, LH, Testosterone) في كافة المجاميع مقارنة مع G1, ولم يكن لعسل السدر أي دور وقائي, أما بالنسبة للمعايير الكيموحيوية بالمقارنة مع G1 فقد أظهرت النتائج ارتفاعا معنويا في مستوى اليوريا والبيليروبين في G4 وG2 على التوالي, كما كان لعسل السدر دورًا إيجابيًا على مستوى اليوريا. حمض البوليك في G5, البيليروبين في .G3

أما صــورة الدم وبالمقـارنة مع G1 فقد أظهرت النتائج حدوث انخفــــاض معنوي في عدد كريات الدم الحمراء ومستوى الهيموجلوبين في 4G, وكذلك حدوث ارتفاع معنوي في عدد كريات الدم البيضاء في  G4وG5, والصفائح الدموية في كافة المجاميع المعاملة.
